Глаголи за състояние (Stative verbs)
Глаголите за състояние (stative verbs) описват мисли, чувства, сетива и притежание, а не действия. Обикновено не се използват в продължителните времена. Някои от тях, като think, have и see, имат и значение на действие и тогава могат да бъдат в Present Continuous.

- Чувства: like, love, hate, want
- Сетива и притежание: taste, smell, belong, own
- I think you are right. (мнение) / I'm thinking about the test. (действие)
- We have a car. (притежание) / We're having dinner now. (действие)
