Есе за мнение (Opinion essay)
Урокът учи как се пише есе за мнение (opinion essay). То има увод, в който ясно се заявява позицията (thesis statement), два или три абзаца с аргументи и примери, абзац с противоположно мнение (counter-argument) и неговото опровергаване и заключение, което обобщава. Използват се фрази за мнение (In my view, I strongly believe), за пример (For instance), за контраст (However, Although) и за заключение (To sum up, In conclusion). Стилът е официален: без съкращения и разговорни думи.
