Традиции и празници (Traditions and festivals)
В урока учениците научават за празници и традиции в англоговорящите страни и в България. Сред тях са Valentine's Day, Halloween (31 октомври), Thanksgiving в САЩ (четвъртия четвъртък на ноември), Bonfire Night (5 ноември, свързана с Гай Фокс и Барутния заговор) и Pancake Day. Учениците описват и български обичаи на английски: мартеници на 1 март и кукери, които с маски и звънци гонят злите духове. Упражняват и предлозите за дати: on Christmas Day, at Christmas, in December.
Какво да запомним
- Halloween: 31 октомври, Trick or treat.
- Thanksgiving: четвъртия четвъртък на ноември в САЩ.
- Bonfire Night (5 November): възпоменание за Guy Fawkes и Gunpowder Plot (1605).
- Pancake Day е денят преди началото на Великия пост (Lent).
