Учим как да напишем аргументативно есе (argumentative essay). За разлика от есето „за и против“, тук авторът защитава ясна позиция от самото начало, изказана в тезата (thesis statement). Всеки абзац съдържа аргумент с доказателства и примери, а противоположното мнение се представя и опровергава (refute). Пишем в официален стил и с внимателен език (hedging).
Какво да запомним
- Увод с thesis statement = основната теза
- Абзац = аргумент + доказателство (статистика, пример: For instance...)
- Противна позиция: Opponents argue that..., but...
- Hedging: It seems likely that... / This may suggest that...
- Заключение: In conclusion, ... (повтаря тезата с други думи)
